About me:

My name is Donna.  I was born and raised in beautiful sunny San Diego.  I was a blonde haired, blue eye baby and child with very fair skin.  My family spent as much time possible being outdoors…camping, hiking, swimming in our pool or ocean, fishing, sailing and gardening.  As a child, I remember sunburns and skin peeling.  As a teenager, I remember 2 products…thick white ointment lathered on nose to keep my nose from burning and baby oil to help my skin tan.  The problem was I didn’t like the look of my nose being white, so I didn’t use the ointment very often.  My nose was burned every summer and either peeling or scabby.  Baby oil didn’t help me tan!  I burned, sometimes blistered then alway peeled!  My skin did tan, just took longer then I wished.  As an older teenager and adult, I believed the darker the tan the better I looked.  I would spend hours outdoors tanning…jet skiing, boating, camping, pool and scuba diving.  Very careful not to have any tan lines on my arms or legs.  During the winter or cooler months I tanned indoors in a tanning bed.  My skin was tan, very dark in fact.  One coworker who had very black skin mentioned…Donna, if you get any darker, you will be blacker than me!

This is me in a nut shell, years and years of sun and skin abuse!  Skin Cancer!
